Share this list with all of the participants on your trip. Not all of these items will
be needed. This is only intended as a general checklist. See the Non-Commercial River Trip
Regulations for Required Items.
- Helmet
- Personal coffee/drink cup
- Tent with ground cloth or other suitable rain cover
- Light bedroll / light sleeping bag / sheet
- Paco pad / thermarest / roll-a-cot / inflatable pillow
- Several bandanas
- Wide-brim hat and cap w/ chin straps
- Sun glasses w/ strap, croakies + spare
- Spare prescription glasses
- Rain suit
- Wetboots / protective river shoes
- Wet/dry suits optional, but recommended
- Warm clothing for river
- Water bottle plus extra / 2 qt. canteen / 3 qt. orange juice jug
- River shorts / pants / river sandals / wool socks
- Camp shorts / pants / shoes / wool socks
- Warm clothes for camp
- Lightweight hiking boots
- Work gloves / bike gloves for rowing
- Bag balm or Corona Salve and cotton crew socks (overnight skin therapy)
- Personal medications / advil / anti-allergy / eyedrops / Nuskin / Super glue
- Sunscreen (bring lots) / lip balm / skin lotion / bag balm or corona salve
- Sun shower (one is good for two showers a day)
- Folding camp chair
- Camera / film (waterproof "throw-aways" are good)
- Flashlight / spare batteries
- Personal hygiene items
- Swiss Army Knife / pocket knife / Leatherman tool
- Fishing rod / panther martins / hook pliers
- 'Formal' attire for the "ABL" party and other events
- Large river dry bag for most of the above (You may choose instead to use several smaller
bags)
- Medium dry bag for quick access to "warm, dry and fuzzies"
- Small dry bag / purse for personals
