The cockpit has a 15" drop-down platform made of plywood and covered with thin non-skid carpet. This makes it easy for me to stand while rowing, something I enjoy and it relieves the monotony of 'wet butt'. I can also strap in a 20mm rocket box on either side (if I have to).
